Notes for the 3/17 Run

ADDED! Can the Saengerbund of Herwegen and Brunhilde please see me before the run tonight. I want to talk about your bows during the festival.

All –  Captain Von Trapp asked me to ask everyone to  make arrangements to have something to eat at Applebee’s after rehearsal tomorrow night.  He observed that we can sleep in on Saturday so we should all go out and pass a good time.

Great Job tonight.  Thanks for all your constructive work and positive attitudes during this difficult time.  I think you’ll be reaping the rewards of your hard work and dedication soon .


With that said…

Nuns – pull your line down like we talked about after the wedding in this first scene too. It’s a way for us to isolate you and allow scene changes to happen behind you.

Micah – remember earnestness.  “But I pray and I try” this was flat but it could have been nerves.

Micah – we have a plan for your “confidence’ costume change. See Adam.

Micah – “Oh Help” Think Julie!  It just needs to be bigger.

Jeff H – I think I need a bit bigger realization at how awful that ugly dress is.

Micah – Remember coming to the Von Trapps is really an adventure for you and you’ve committed yourself wholeheartedly to it.

Jeff H. – This is the first time you’ve really heard Micah do the whistle and you need to react a bit stronger to it.

Lesson of the Invisibile Guitar – If you use it, please check to make sure it’s where it’s supposed to be.  Everybody MUST check their props before the show starts.

Remember to count to 5 at the end of numbers or till the lights go down if it’s the end of a scene.

Austin – when on the bench with Liesl be aware that if you pull up of her that a shadow is cast over your face.

Sawyer – emphazie YOU weren’t.  We wanted make sure YOU weren’t.

Chris – for The Barons castle you stepped right in front of Elsa, move further left.

Nancy – the take on the Nun sequence is that you always looked pleasantly off stage right while she left and then kept the same look front and then reacted to being “dissed”
Everyone must close the doors.

Chris W.   Too much profile.

We need to review the party sequence with this cast.

Liesl – look sad about your dad saying “no” to champagne

Peter – wait to enter to announce dinner until the applause for “So Long” finished.

Dinner guest – please make chit chat while you leave.

Act 2

Don’t come out for places until the entre act is completed.

Gretl – when Max asks you if kissing your finger makes it better you can shake your head yes.

Nancy – good job on the ring sequence

Ally – thanks for delivering the billet

Jeff H.  – You came in early after Rolfs mean scene.  Wait until Rolf is gone before coming down the stairs.

Jeff H. – the telegram you have from Rolf is real. Open it up and look at it.  It’s authentic.

All!  I wish you could see the ending, it was really amazing/beautiful.
